California dreamz

I used to watch "California Dreams" when I was in elemantary school, on channel 5, in between the hours of 5-7pm on...UPN? TBS? Here's the opening song that I bet we all know from the early 90's. Don't act like you were too cool for this show. I would also like to mention that the show got even cooler when the asian girl joined the cast. "GUNG HAY FAT CHOY!"

If you don't already know, California is known as my second home away from home. I don't come here as a tourist but as a native. I drive a big SUV, pay $4 per gallon of gas, work the 9-6, eat guacamole, get stuck in traffic, and wear Rainbow sandals where ever I go. AND I LURVE IT!

I've been out for here since late March and have been extending my trip ever since…Now, it is almost mid-May. I do wish that I was staying longer but the traveling bug is begging me to explore some more. So, it's official. I am leaving May 18th. My flight is booked and I'm off to spend some quality time with my BFF/cousin/distant aunt, Christine in Chi-town. Can't wait!

I wish I could do a fun photo blog but in between dealing with the crazies/drug-addicts from work, small group, family time, traffic, wining and dining, and gaining sunspots from the waaay too sunny sky, I forgot.

Thus, I'll do something even better. I'll leave you with some wise and beautiful words from THE BOOK OF LIFE.

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven:

a time to be born and a time to die,

a time to plant and a time to uproot,

a time to kill and a time to heal,

a time to tear down and a time to build,

a time to weap and a time to laugh,

a time to mourn and a time to dance,

a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,

a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

a time to search and a time to give up,

a time to keep and a time to throw away,

a time to tear and a time to mend,

a time to be silent and a time to speak,

a time to love and a time to hate,

a time for war and a time for peace.

He has made everything beautiful in its time.

-Ecclesiastes 3-

Have a happy May! Gung hay fat choy!

I dunno Lanny, I wouldn't post too too much info about exactly where you'll be....with the advent of Google street-view and creepy online predators (me).... NEVERTHELESS, me likey the entry.

And I'm sure 67-year-old Rico in his mother's dark, damp basement from pervert-ville, USA likes this entry, too. :)
