A weekend trip to the mountains with my classmates in Big Bear, CA
I think it's the weather that makes me forget that it's winter. On the east coast, snowboarding season always came to my mind around November when people were beginning to wear their puffy down jackets. Since there's not much need here on a normal basis, in my mind...It's still fall or maybe even early spring.
This year my only snowboarding trip was a weekend in Big Bear. We rented a 14 person cabin (and some how fit more than that...), enjoyed home cooked meals from Chef Sam and Byron, snowboarded Snow Summit, and fell in love with the cabin dog, Scrubs.
As a med student, a perfect weekend still has to consist of some sort of studying. Even though I chose not to bring any books or notes, I found myself looking over my friend's note cards on bacteria and viruses. Vacation FAIL.
